Dot. wizerunków na monetach, banknotach i medalach.
The article presents selected objects from the numismatic collection of the History Department of the National Museum in Kielce, containing images of women. Women’s figures appearing on coins, banknotes and medals depict representatives from various social groups and performing various professions. Women were presented in portraits, full-figure, alone, in company, allegorically, during various activities, including holiday celebrations, ceremonies, sports events, and at work. All presented objects come from the first half of the 17th century to the present day and commemorate queens, peasant women, artists, actresses, social activists, soldiers, saints, athletes, writers, mothers, inventors, famous historical figures and female allegorical images.
