Summary: In 2021, eighty years have passed since the tragic days at the turn of June and July 1941, which have been remembered in the history of Lviv as the Lviv Jewish pogrom. The author consciously draws attention here to the city's Jewish inhabitants, many of whom, living in Polish culture and speaking this language, were and felt connected to Poland. Even their remaining part, speaking only Hebrew and Yiddish, considered Poland their home. These Jews had lived in Lwów for centuries, co-created the city and were an essential part of it. In the following article we will read, and in the iconography presented, we will trace the chronology of its duration: day by day, event by event. The whole is a terrifying scale of what such a pogrom looked like at the time. The presented visualisation of the pogrom is an iconography - a perception of the Holocaust. There is no doubt that these photographs were taken by a German soldier. This is evidenced by the notation on the back, where the surname is given, but without the first name, Austermann - non-commissioned officer of the Wehrmacht. Although there are many similar photographs in the public space, those presented by the author are unique. Until now they have not been published in any scientific or journalistic works. These photographs, as a silent archival source, emanate the horror of those days.
