Summary: The training of Navy officers (Navy) began at the Temporary Instructor Courses (TIC) in Toruń on March 20, 1921, and on October 1, 1922, the Naval Officer School (NOS) was established in this city, and then the Navy Cadet School (NCS), which operated in the years 1922-1938. On September 5, 1939, the latter was transferred to Bydgoszcz, and after the outbreak of the war it was disbanded on September 12, 1939. The article presents the threads most frequently appearing in the memories of officers of the Marine Corps of the Second Polish Republic, which included such issues as: the students' motives for joining NOS/ NCS, conditions for applying for admission and entrance examinations, organization of the cadet training process and the daily agenda at the school, students' internships in the Navy's Pińsk Fleet and Flotilla, and profiles of the commandants and lecturers of the Navy's school in Toruń.
