Summary: The iconography presented below shows the Nazi perception of the "subhuman" whom German soldiers captured in that photography. The motives of these projections correspond to the ideological influence of National Socialist indoctrination on German soldiers. These pictures suggestively appeal to the viewer, and even provoke him or her to association. We will see in them a dialogue between the torturer, the author of the photo - a young German and the victim, an obedient reciter of the orders - a Polish Jew. The presented photographs come from the author’s private archive, and the collection of iconography of the subject has over 1000 individual photos and is still being supplemented. These photos are originals and their definition depends on the sphere of reality in which they were made. Made from the original negatives, they were certainly developed while their creators were still alive. They are undeniably valuable historical sources. In the captured poses, as in a kaleidoscope, we see the author’s retrospective consisting of the selection of place, time and event. They should also be seen as an attempt to record "subhumans". The Polish Jews by fixing them in the optics of the German camera. Iconographic perception served to illustrate the causative elements of Nazi ideology in occupied Poland: The General Government and the eastern territories annexed by the USSR after 17 September 1939. The photographs presented in the article partly supplement the documentation of German crimes against Polish citizens of the Mosaic faith. This treatment of iconographic materials, especially by the authors themselves, often resulted in a very general and even modest description of the photos. This can be seen on the back, where the author of the shot indicated the place, date and event. On most of these photos it is possible to determine the place and time of their taking.
