Summary: The article elaborates the first fully democratic local elections in Słupsk. It gives the opportunity to get to know election committees and candidates and outlines selected aspects of the election campaign, particularly emphasizing the conflict between the Civic Committee and the Election Committee of the Regional Board of the Independent Self­‑Governing Trade Union "Solidarity". The author pays special attention to the presentation and discussion of the results of individual election committees, he presents the names of people elected to the City Council in Słupsk of the first term (1990-1994). He presents the political conditions and the atmosphere resulting from the socio­‑political changes after the partially democratic parliamentary elections of 1989 in Poland. It meets the need for regional research, based on sources collected in the State Archives in Koszalin, Słupsk Branch and press publications.
